My son trying to steal my fries

Hi, I’m Michael Daehn. I’m the newest addition to the AnyMeeting team. Since I will be interacting with our community on the blog, Facebook and Twitter I thought I would tell you a bit about myself.

About

I went to school in Fullerton, CA where I received my MBA. I’m originally from Saint Louis, MO and moved back there for a few years and started a family. I’ve been a marketing geek since high school. I was so into business that my sister called me “Alex P. Keaton.”

I’ve always loved gadgets and computers too. I had a sweet Commodore VIC20 with a 16 baud modem and cassette tape drive. Over the years these two passions have merged into a career in Internet Marketing.

Vic20

VIC20 - The height of 80's tech

I love trying out the latest tech toys and testing out web 2.0 products. When the opportunity came up to work with AnyMeeting to promote web conferencing I jumped at the offer. I packed up the family and headed back to my old college stomping grounds in the OC.

What I’m Doing at AnyMeeting

My main role is to support the efforts of our VP of Marketing, Damian Raffele. I’ve worked with Damian before and he’s got a great mind for marketing and working with customers. My focus will be on building our community through social media and our blog. AnyMeeting is a free product, so we rely heavily on our community of users to help spread the word.

AnyMeeting Newsletter

Weekly tips to build your business and brighten your day

Another focus of mine is to edit the AnyMeeting newsletter. We’ll be sending highlights of the best tips and tricks for presenters and small business owners on a weekly basis.

How Can I Help You?

I’m looking for ways to provide resources and information to our web conferencing users. We understand that many of you are small business owners, non-profits and students. Please let me know in the comments what kind of articles you find helpful.

How You Can Help Me

Besides giving me some feedback, please help me spread the good news about our free product. Link to a blog post, send a tweet, post on our Facebook wall and/or particpate in our contest. You might even win some sweet prizes.

Tell us your story and you can win prizes

I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Anymeeting has been a great tool! I love it!
BTW, I had that same VIC20…. Remember that Mole Hunt Game (Wack-a-Mole)? Welcome to the team!

Thanks Mike. I don’t remember the mole game. I did play a lot of Gorf and Radar Rat Race ;)

Nice bio, congrats on the gig. Good thing you put links to the APK and Commodore stuff cause I am sure the younger crowd had no clue what you were talking about.

Thanks Brian. I guess I’m showing my age a bit with my archaic references ;)

Hi Michael, good luck. I just ran into anyweb and want to set it up as a way of putting together an ad hoc committee of folks who will explore how we might work together as a business team.. so you could help me if you will..
- first problem for me is how to organize my files or the documents I will pull up to the web session..by business , by alpha bet.., size etc. and can i pull up a picture within a picture for example. I want three of us to look at the xyz site which shows something interesting.. but not block out my presentation or cover document…

thanks,

david

David – I’m not exactly sure what you are trying to do. I have to admit that since I am new I might not be the best person to answer your question. Our support guys are great. I recommend you send them an email support@anymeeting.com. You don’t want to know from me, I’m from the West side of Saint Louis.
