Using your feedback we worked with user interface experts and our developers to totally reinvent the AnyMeeting experience. The redesign features a dramatically different view for users. Beginners and veterans alike will find the new version much more intuitive and easy to use.

The new version will be live to all AnyMeeting users beginning Friday, October 7th at 1AM PST. Please note, the AnyMeeting service will not be available from 12AM to 1AM on October 7th as we make the transition.

The new version features:

  • Improved Screen Management – Whether you have one video feed or six, your screen will re-size and present the best configuration for sharing your meeting.

  2. Can’t wait to try it out. Can you tell me….can video’s and recorded webinars created with Any Meeting be uploaded to YouTube? Love your product and would like to put them on YouTube and other web pages when I’m finished.

      1. It would actually be a good advertising move. If you added an anymeeting logo at the end of each video when it is uploaded to YouTube you would get free advertising to everyone that view it. I use another product that does this.

        I like the way AnyMeeting works and would love to continue using it, but need something that I can add to my YouTube Channel when completed.

        Hope they can add this feature soon.

  3. Love your software – i use it at least once a week, love it. But a real pain-in-the-? issue i have with it is that when i log-in the software works perfect to have screen-share meetings with my staff overseas, then if i log-out, then log back in to start another web-meeting with different people, I get a “cannot connect to server [or possible firewall] ” error, this happens every single time time, even without anything at all changing on my computer. In order to fix it, i normally have to wait 24 hours and/or re-boot. Any idea WHY this happens or how it can be fixed? its been going on for about 6-months or more, over different Computers/Modems/Routers and Operating Systems.

  7. Will 2 presenters be able to share their screen in the same webinar? Not at the same time, but I find that only being able to share the screen of 1 presenter is limiting.. Hope that feature is part of this new release.

  8. I haven’t used Anymeeting for a long time. These updates look very promising and I am looking forward to try them. Good work by providing this free tool.
    I have recomended this tool in the past but now seems to be a MUST to have. I will also like the mobile app for the meeting. I have been using Adobe Connect’s mobile app and it is very powerfull.

I am seeing the “string” of thumbnails change position, does this happen automatically according to the content on the screen, or is it preset by user? BTW, I love the software, and the firm is warming up to it. This will make the transition from your competitors all the easier.

    On the current version, one can record the session, but with quite restricted editing rights. Are there any developments in regard to the editing, e.g. cut out bits etc

  12. Hey! Love it! Question: will the new interface change the aount of screen taken up on the RECIPIENT’S end by ads, interface etc? One concern that attendees share with me is that my screen always looks so small and so much of their screen is taken up by things besides the presentation. Any changes to this?

    1. Everett- With the new design, there is a lot more screen space available. You also have more control over it. For example, you can hide the Chat and Attendee windows to maximize the space available for screen sharing and video conferencing.     1. Jay- That all depends on which audio option you choose. If you choose conference call, then everyone can participate via conference call. If you choose webcam and mic, then only those who have a webcam or a microphone attached to their computer can participate. If you choose conference call, you can still use a webcam. Just remember to mute your microphone – just click on the microphone icon under your video feed to mute it.

  14. So now AnyMeeting has become even better? Yeah right – as if that is possible ;-)
    We have been testing several platforms, both paid and free. There are some great systems out there but the price-quality ratio of AnyMeeting is superb and higher than that of some paid systems I know.
    Very important: logging in is super-easy, even for non-English speaking participants (this has been an issue with other providers). Using mobile Internet we had some issues with the sound quality, we’ll try it again to see if also that has improved. AnyMeeting has one great item that we use frequently: we share presenters. One presenter works on one computer without screen sharing, so he can communicate with participants without showing his desktop, and screens are shared from a second computer. Works great for us. And so does AnyMeeting.

  16. Great job! Thanks for providing this service, and in light of all the improvements you just rolled out, I feel silly to request something else. But at some point, it would be nice to give each participant a choice of whether they tune in with mic or conference call rather than everyone having to do the same thing.

  17. For some reason, when I want to enter screen sharing mode the system says that the plug-in is installed and that I shuld wait 30 seconds, but I wait endlesly and nothing happens, the message remains the same. I use Ubuntu 10.10.

  18. Unfortunately, something in the new upgrade changes the way it interacts on my IBM Lenovo laptop, either through Symantec or the VPN that makes it so the java installer to run the presentation window will not install. That makes this product problematic.

  20. Do attendees to my webinar have to down load the sharing software to view my webinar?
    also can I share a website and and walk attendees through the diffrent pages and info on those pages using this software.

    1. Hi Jason- attendees only need to have a web browser that is flash compatible. They don’t need to install the screen sharing plug-in. If you want to share a website, the best way to do it is to screen share the web page you want to display.

  21. We have always used AnyMeeting, almost exclusively on Linux. This is the first that I have heard that it is not supported.

    We can still use it on old version of 32 bit Linux, but not on newer versions. The only thing preventing us from using appears to be faulty Java plugin detection code, since other Java apps run fine but we get the “Java not installed or disabled” message.

    How disappointing.

  22. Guys, great job. The only thing I know anymeeting can improve is related to videos… any plan for that? What I mean is that sharing the slides is okay, even if it delays some seconds, but videos I have tried any it really is not a good option. I think when you guys figure out something around playing videos, then competition will go crazy, absolutely crazy!!! So, keep up the great job!

    I love the new redesign, have you thought of developing a version of self-hosted solution for community and private clouds (an anymeeting virtual appliance of sorts)? As a full service provider of cloud solutions, we have been looking high and low for a streamlined solution like yours that could be self-hosted on our cloud platform and offer it to our partners. That way it can meet security standards our MSP and VARs partners could have. As well, since it’s hosted on their own private infrastructure, it could be integrated to LDAP or AD and with other multi-tenant solutions we help them develop.

  25. I have not been able to see the recorded screen sharing content. I have no issues with audio or the video. All I get from the content side is the “Loading Screen Sharing … this may take up to 30 seconds”. I’m on a college Campus with great internet speed. Any help would be appreciated.

    1. Hi. Thanks for your comment. If you saw this message during our system test, it is true that Ubuntu is not an officially supported OS. However, we do know of numerous instances of using running Ubuntu who run successful meetings on the AnyMeeting platform. So, go ahead and run a meeting! You should be good to go!   26. SAME ISSUE HERE WITH LINUX!!! It’s really a pity and allow me to say…. a shame! I am looking for a solution to teach on-line and this seems the perfect solution, but I can’t use it on Ubuntu!!! How so? PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP!!!

Well I’m delighted to read that his upgraded has helped many BUT it has halted my business as the Application that is now Required to be run on PC will not even load – and I have attempted on all 3 PC that are different makes and models. This means I cannot run sessions that are planned and clients paid for.
    I’m beyond disappointed if this is not resolved as a matter of urgency … GoTo Meeting here I come :-(
